Especially as a **former Jira** user,
I want to be able to see directly from the work package identifier to which project the work package belongs. Also, scoping the sequence number to a project leads to shorter numbers and thus they are easier to remember than the current numeric identifiers.
We want to provide work package identifiers in the schema `<project identifier>-<sequence number>`. As a work package identifier contains cantains the project identifier — which provides some additional context — we call it a **semantic identifier**.
An admin will be able to choose if regular numeric identifiers will be used for all work packages or semantic identifiers.
