Workpackage don't send email update

Hello all,

I'm new in OpenProject, but I'have searched inside documentation without solving my issue.

I have installed OpenProject 12.2.4 on Ubuntu 22.04 via deb Package with success using apt.

Email for new project and adding user to project or when mention user with @, email work perfectly.

I have a probelm on email for update workpackage when I assignee a task.

In: admin/settings/aggregation I set value 0 and 1, without success. But no email is sent to user.

Any alerting is enabled inside global config and user config:

I have read in documentation about "manual installation" that this task is a queue managed by background jobs:

But in my installation I can't see anythigs similar to this.

I try to run mannually, but in my system ruby is not present  (I use Ruby inside openproject directory in /opt, installed by deb package):

Is correct use a cron job?

In my system this is the process associated a openproject:

Could it be that something is missing?

Some suggestion for troubleshuting this issue?

Hi

You share a lot of interesting things. If emails are working in general than emails are sent out in any cases that are configured

"Email for new project and adding user to project or when mention user with @, email work perfectly." so no need to go down to console level.

You can configure when an email will be sent out on the following GUI interface:

Please login with the user who does not get the email notifications

Click on Avatar on the Top right / chose "My Account" / select "Email reminders" 

Please show the screenshot of "Email reminders" for the user who does not receive notifications

@Adam: really, "no comment". For two good reasons :)

1- I need a notification when a new assignee occurred, and this config is concern the commulative email. So it has a purpose similar but different.

2- I read that setting this parameter to "zero", is for disable aggregation and send "immediatly" email without attend time. And I confirm that work perfectly, except when a task is assigned (as I have explained above)

i wonder why you think that a 2 year old reference shall be up to date...

I am not sure which emails are sent out immediately? Could you please provide examples you just say "it" works perfectly? 

I see just in the GUI that Aggregation is disabled, so NO Aggregation are sent out, but Aggregation Emails are not the only Emails in OpenProject :)

The Only thing that will be sent immediately and it has nothing to do with the value of Aggregation is your first screenshot

I manteined "0" because is what I want during the test. OpenProject sent email without waiting to aggregate multiple items. 

Could you please provide examples you just say "it" works perfectly? 

Eg1: the config: "Immediately when someone @mentions me"

work perfectly, when someone tag a user this alert is sent via email and work perfectly.

Eg2: Also, email is sent when a new project is created and a user is related to project.

The problem is related only to the sending at the moment of the assignment for a design choice of openproject
