Cost reports don't include child packages?
Added by Jason Rucker about 6 years ago
I created a new work package, then created two children tasks. I then logged time to each of those two tasks.
If I go back to the parent work package, I can see the "spent time" field includes the time logged to the children. If I click on that time, I am taken to the cost reports page, however there is no time shown, as the children tasks are not included in the report.
If I log time directly to the parent work package, that time is displayed on the cost reports page.
How do I get the cost reports page to include time/costs that are logged within the children tasks?

Hi,
I have the same question, the parent phase report displays phase costs only, but doesn't include children epics and tasks costs.
Is there a setting to include these kind за costs into parent reports ?
Thank you.

I have the same problem. Is there a solution?
Thank you

I have the same question.
I don't see any related setting also in OpenProject 9.0.2.
Same shock here. Trying to find this in the docs, but looks like it's not implemented this way. Not sure how the reports could be used any other way - they seem useless immediately once one starts to use hierarchies, which are quite a big part of OP.
Hi all,
the issue is now tracked here: https://community.openproject.org/projects/openproject/work_packages/34962
