Installation problems!

Added by Marcelo Campos about 7 years ago

Hi there! I’m really new to Linux and OpenProject, and I’m not getting to install OpenProject properly …

I’d followed this two instructions:

first: https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-install-the-pilot-linux-apache-mysql-php-lamp-no-ubuntu-16-04-en

second: https://www.openproject.org/download-and-installation/

But when I try to access http://localhost on my browser, i received only that Apache standard webpage named “Apache2 Ubuntu Default Page”.

So, apache it’s working. But how can i access Openproject?

My OS is Ubuntu!

I’m aware that is a basic question, but as I said, I’m new on this!

Thanks!

Hi,

Why do you have tried to first install separately the LAMP stack (Apache, Mysql, PHP) and then OpenProject ?

Info : Openproject is developed in Ruby Language, not PHP.

I’d rather advise you to use the packaged installer for Ubuntu, as described on the page you mention: https://www.openproject.org/download-and-installation/

Forget about the digital ocean tutorial for now, as OpenProject package comes with integrated apache and mysql installation.

I did everything from the instructions for Ubuntu. Now I am getting only Apache 2 default page. No way to get into the openproject. For hostname I am using localhost.
