Will OP 6.1.4 run on RHEL 7

I want to move from 6.1.4 to 7.x, but 7.x is only supported on RHEL 7. Can I run OP 6.1.4 on RHEL 7 so I can then make the jump to OP 7 or is it possible to install a clean copy of OP 7.x on RHEL 7 and then migrate my database (Mysql) to OP 7?
