Hats off to you

Added by Chris Rooney almost 8 years ago

I’ve just upgraded my server from Ubuntu 12.04 (with a manual install of OpenProject 3.x) to 16.04 (and a package install of 7.3). During the installation I pointed it to the old database.

I must confess, I was amazed to see that it migrated the old database with any issues (except for a few lost images).

We’re always quick to report errors, so I just wanted to commend you for making my life that much easier!

Hey Chris,

from the entire team behind OpenProject, your post made our day. Thanks for your kind words. It is great to hear your migration went without any issues.

The application is quite complex both in terms of installation and its maintenance, so bugs and support issues are often not avoidable as a small team. We appreciate every effort to report them to us.

Best,
Oliver
