Empty rows in Work Packages overview, Prob with mysql-connector-c ?

I installed stable/6 on MacOS Sierra (10.12.6). Since I wanted to use a remote Mysql database, I installed mysql-connector-c. With the help of https://stackoverflow.com/a/44790834/475997 I got it running – with one exception: The list of Work Packages has the correct number of rows but does not show any content, although it is fetched from the database (obviously).
Any ideas?
