Issues installing OpenProject on Ubuntu Server - Aborting/Restart/Clearing Installtion Wizard

Added by Frank Beister almost 8 years ago

Hello. I try to make a test installation of openproject on my ubuntu 16.04 server. It is running MySQL and Apache (with SSL) for a owncloud yet.

I tried installation with the few commands provided here.
https://www.openproject.org/download-and-installation/
All seemed to work fine until I started the config wzzard by:

sudo openproject configure

I was not shure at the point about the SSL certificates and the following questions, to answer correctly. So I canceled the wizzard and tried to restart it by the same command. But the wizzard started at the last point I quit the dialog. So I tried to go through rest of the dialogs with “skip” until the end, because I thought I will be asked at the end, if I want to finish the automatic configuration and could abort it at the end.

But the configuration completed and I am not able to restart the wizzard.

Now nothing works for me. openProject can’t be opened in the browser, nor do I know, where I could fix or renew the config.

Or should I remove the installation? How? And how without removing the needed MySQL and Apache?

Any hints for me? Didn’t found anything in the postings here.

Running

sudo openproject reconfigure

will give you the opportunity to run through the whole wizard again.
