Unable to install release 7.0 on CentOS 7
Added by Paul GARROUSTE over 7 years ago
I can’t upgrade my 6.1 version to 7.0 on CentOS 7 platform.
When I try to upgrade, the system return :
[root@myhost ~]# yum install openproject Modules complémentaires chargés : fastestmirror https://rpm.packager.io/gh/opf/openproject-ce/centos7/stable/7/repodata/repomd.xml: [Errno 14] HTTPS Error 404 - Not Found

Hi Paul,
there is currently an issue with packaging OpenProject 7.0 for CentOS.
We are working on a fix but this may still take a while.
The packages for the other distributions are however working correctly. - If possible for you, we recommend using an installer for a different Linux distribution for now.
Best,
Robin
Hi Robin,
Which is the Linux distribution used by the OpenProject’s development team ?
I have to install it in our infrastructure, and I still have the choice of the Linux distribution.
Currently we are using Cent OS 7 with OpenProject 6.1 but it’s experimental, and we would like to upgrade our platform easily in the future.
Regards,
Paul
Hi Paul,
we use different ones but a good choice would be for example Ubuntu 16.04 (or e.g. Debian 8).
We will also fix the CentOS 7 package in the future but I can’t unfortunately say yet when it will be done.
Best,
Robin
Hi Paul,
to give some background as to why CentOS 7 packages are failing right now:
as part of OpenProject 7.0.0, we decided to upgrade the packaged Ruby environment to the recently released 2.4.1. As it turns out, there is an issue with the buildpack we use for 2.4.1 on CentOS 7 which causes the packaging process to stop in error:
https://packager.io/gh/opf/openproject-ce/build_runs/362#97134
This is a temporary issue with the buildpack, and not a fundamental issue of CentOS7. We will provide packages for CentOS 7 once this issue is resolved.
Best,
Oliver
Hello Oliver,
any chance that OP 7.0 will be compatible with RedHat 6.8?
Thanks in advance,
Hello,
RHEL/CentOS 7 packages are now available (see https://packager.io/gh/opf/openproject-ce).
Unfortunately, RHEL/CentOS 6 is no longer supported.
