OpenProject 6 on Ubuntu 16.04: Database authentication bug

Hi,
Installed openproject 6.0.4 on Ubuntu 16.04 using APT.
Just found out that the openproject database password can not contain special characters like “&” or “#”. For some reason, the password that appears in /etc/conf.d/database becomes trimmed just before any special chauracter.
