Hey Vinc.,
as you’ll need at least a functioning ruby and npm environment to run OpenProject, I don’t see an installation method that does not involve shell access.
Best,
Oliver
Hello Oliver thanks for your Feedback
on other Tools i upload via FTP a file or a lots of files und start from the Browser a PHP file, which will gide trough the Installation.
If you do it like this the user doing the Installation can’t brake the Server itself. with command line Access it is something mor Special to do
Hi,
First of all many thanks for your valuable inputs and time. After reading your comments i have uploaded the files via FZ into my subdomain's public_html DIR but no such installation process like WordPress or Joomla. Any hints..? I am stuck with this for last 2-3 days. I'm on a DO droplet with Ubuntu 18.04 & Apache2 installed and configured with PHP7.2 & Mysql and my primary web site is running (in WP) on the main domain. Yes, i have installed npm, ruby, pgsql too through Putty.
Any help will be highly solicited, thanks

Hello,
if you were able to install npm, ruby ... through putty, then you apparently have shell access to the server. So why not use the standard installation procedure as described on the website? My openproject instance is also running on a subdomain and I did not have to do anything particular to get it up and running. The URL to your instance is to be entered during the configuration of the new instance, as far as I remember. Just make sure, that your DNS-entries for the subdomain exist and have been propagated.
So sorry, I do not understand the problem here.
