I need help setting up git for openproject

Added by Bernd Müller over 9 years ago

Hi,

my openproject installation is nearly completed. I’ve created my first project and added some tasks already. Now I want to use git repository, but I don’t know how. I’ve chosen the packaged installation and now I try to connect with my Windows-Client TortoiseGit.

Which URL do I have to enter there?
Do I have to do anything else on my server?

Thanks for your help!

Hi Bernd,

I’m struggling with git, too. There is an open source tool called “SCM Manager” which I’m currently using to provide access to the git repos created with OpenProject, as the URL provided by OpenProject does not work.
However, this is only a workaround, certainly, and I’d like to get rid of that tool and have the OpenProject URLs working. But I do not know yet how to achieve that…

Best regards
- Hardy
