How to migrate between servers?

Added by Gerhard Schneider over 9 years ago

Hello,

I have a production server running with Bitnami OpenProject 4 (A), and a new (future production) server with OpenProject 5 (package installation) (B).
Are there instructions how the database should be migrated from A to B, and how the Git repositories should be migrated from A to B?

Well, in the meantime I succeeded in setting up an OP 5.0 on the new server, and to migrate the database and the configuration from the previous OP 4 installation.

However, I have a strange effect now: I can access the “normal” pages, and everything seems to work there. But when I access any administration page, I get an error:

Internal error

An error occurred on the page you were trying to access.
If you continue to experience problems please contact your OpenProject administrator for assistance.

If you are the OpenProject administrator, check your log files for details about the error.

Any idea what’s the reason for that? Or, how to elicit the reason?
