Can OpenProject use PostgreSQL Database?

Added by Crazy Raisin almost 10 years ago

I am curious to know if Openproject can use a PostgreSQL database or is MySQL required?

Both databases are supported

While the documentation says its possible to use postgres it appears as though this may not be the case as there’s no documentation to support this. Is there another install guide with steps for postgres?

Many months ago I could find PostgreSQL doc. I can’t today. For many reasons I would prefer to use PostgreSQL. 1. MySQL in past did not support 4 byte unicode characters (Chinese) 2. It is what we are using. Hope you all can make this doc available again.
