Why delivrable with subtask due date still set to a completed task with the latest due date...
Added by Richard Vézina about 9 years ago
I notice that even if I set a given task to completed 100% without touching it due date which is still set to latter date… The Delivrable super task still display the latest due date of the completed task… Why is that??
I would like the Delivrable super task due date which is controlled by it subtask to be adjusting accordingly to the latest due date setted which is not completed… That the behavior it should have to me…
Thanks
Richard

Also, can’t change the status… So telling openproject that the task is finish is done by the progression pourcentage or the due date? To me the due date should be leave untouched even if it latter and the task is done… In Redmine I know to set a task as completed we have to put it at 100% and closed the ticket… Do the task should be manage that way? If so, how can I update the status of the task?
Thanks
Richard
Hello Richard,
generally, the start date of a parent work package is calculated by the earliest start date of the children and the latest end date of the children. This behavior does not consider the status of the work package.
You raise a very good point however. Could you open a feature request (user story) in the Wish List ?
If you can’t change the status, this may be caused by the following settings:
(Also take a look at the FAQs for work packages)
