How to use git with openproject
Added by Steven Schveighoffer over 9 years ago
I have used the instructions in your documents to install a local instance of openproject (using packages on Linux Mint (Ubuntu based) ). We currently use Trac and are thinking of switching, but I cannot figure out at all how to have it use git. All that is available is SVN.
In the administration module, under Repository, it lists “git” as being checked.
However, inside my project, when I go to repository, the drop down for repository type is greyed out, and subversion is selected. I have no idea how to fix this. Creating a new project does not let me choose the repository type.
If you could just point me at a guide on how to do this, I would appreciate it.
It is also unclear to me what the integration looks like — is this a read-only view into a source repository, or is it a read/write location for openproject to use for its revision control for wiki/documents?

Just noticed the “delete” button, clicked it, and now I can re-add the repository as I wanted :)
I guess nevermind, but I may have more questions.
