Packaged Installation: Change Ruby Cache from "File Cache" to "Mem Cache"?

Hi,

OP 4.0.8 on Ubuntu 14.0.4.02 LTS

Is it possible to change the settings of the RAILS_CACHE_STORE in conf.d/other from “file_store” to “memcache”? If yes, how and what else needs to be done afterwards to put these new settings in affect?
