How do I run OpenProject
Added by Mercurio Cadena almost 10 years ago
Hello:
I’m pretty sure this is the roockiest question in the world, yet It must be done:
I’couldn’t install OpenProject package for Ubuntu, so I (allegedly) installed it manually.
After long hours of irrational work, I got to this point in the manual:
Now, we (re-)start Apache:
[root@all] service apache2 reload
Your OpenProject installation should be accessible on port 80 (http). A default admin-account is created for you having the following credentials:
Username: admin
Password: admin
Please, change the password on the first login. Also, we highly recommend to configure the SSL module in Apache for https communication.
The thing is: I am a rookie on computers. I have no idea what does having the Open Project Installation accesible on port 80 (http) means, so I have no clue what to do next (I obviously haven’t used the subsequent credentials).
I would ask this in forums, but anyone seems to be having issues which such a simple doubt.
Please, I’m begging you; I need your help.
Best regards.

Hi Mercurio,
port 80 is the default port. You should be able to access your OpenProject installation via http://localhost (provided you installed it on your local machine - otherwise replace localhost with the IP address where you installed it).
Best,
Robin
Thank you SO much, Robin.
Hi Mercurio,
hope it’s working properly now.
Have fun using OpenProject! :)
Best,
Robin
