Question about instillation requirements

I looked through the instillation guide, however there was no specification on what OS this should be installed on. Obviously Linux is supported, but can this be installed on a Windows Server environment? If so, are there any issues or specifics we should be aware of?

We do not recommend installation in windows environments at this time. ChiliProject, which OpenProject is a fork from, provides instructions on how to install on windows. Those instructions will also get you started with OpenProject. If you run into problems, please share those, we might be able to resolve them.

Other than that, we maintain OpenProject instances on both SuSe and Debian systems, with MySQL and Postgres, respectively. The recommended setup is with Debian.
