openproject install reporting external IP and not domainname
Added by Heribert Bozeczki 11 months ago
Hello,
i recently tried out openproject and started hosting an install myself. For some reason the server reports back with his IP address and not his domainname. Even openproject in the admin panel warns me that the server name is set to "domainname" but should be "external IP".
Installation is Ubuntu 22.04LTS minmal Server image and then openproject via .deb package. PostgreSQL and Apache how they come with the openproject install.
Things i checked so far: subdomain entry with my domainhost. apache config and the reverse DNS entry has been set by my internet provider.
I'm clueless as to what i have forgotten or missed.

As i get this message:
"Your application is running with its host name setting set to
sub.domain.at
, but the request is aexternal IP
hostname. This will result in errors! Go to System settings and change the "Host name" setting to correct this."Where does OpenProject get this information from?
