Problem accessing Taskboards from Backlogs screen
Added by Matt Brown over 10 years ago
Having a problem accessing Taskboards. I have 4 “versions” defined for my project, Product Backlog, Sprint 1, Sprint 2, and Sprint 3. I can add/move stories to/between any of these versions. But, when I am on the Backlogs page and hover over top-left dropdown menu of one of the version, I only see the “Task Board” and “Wiki” menu options if the Version column is set to Left. Any Version on the right column will only have the two options “New Story” and “Stories/Tasks”. If I move that version to the left column, I will get Task Board and Wiki menu links. Is this the way it is supposed to work? I like my product backlog on the left and all my sprints on the right.

Hi Matt,
sorry for the late reply.
This is actually the way it is supposed to work. The position of the backlog (whether it is located on the left or the right) determines whether it is a sprint or a product backlog.
Sprints are displayed on the left and product backlogs on the right, therefore the options on the right (product backlog) are limited compared to the options on the left (sprint backlog).
Since task board and (sprint) wiki only make sense for sprints, these options are only displayed for backlogs on the left side.
Feel free however, to create a feature request (User Story) in the Wish List.
Best,
Robin
Thanks, works for me. Good knowing that this is just how it is supposed to work.
