Backup transfer to new Server
Added by Pampa Party over 1 year ago
Hi,
i tried to transfer a backup to a new server (Package-based installation (DEB/RPM). I did two backups before and get the datasets you´re seeing in attachment. First Question, do i need to untar both files for each categories or are this just 2 Backups. I´m not sure about this, cause i made two backups and get 2 files of each type. So i don´t know if this are two diffrent backups with ending 17 and 20 or just one.
Next question, when i untar the files to their destination, do i need do delte the installed files first or does the untar progress overwrite previous files?
So far i think i get to mange steps till Restoring the database without trouble. But i dont reconfigure something, cause i don´t know what i should reconfigure and the installation manual don´t give me something there.
When i try to restore the database like in the manual i get the following:
"32 failed: FATAL: Passwort-Authentifizierung für Benutzer »openproject« fehlgeschlagen
connection to server at "127.0.0.1", port 45432 failed: FATAL: Passwort-Authentifizierung für Benutzer »openproject« fehlgeschlagen"
When i installed open project i didn´t set a User openproject and no password for. I used the data which i get from
sudo openproject config:get DATABASE_URL
like mentioned in the manual. But i did not work. So i need help with the Backup cause the manual did not work for me so far and i don´t see where i went wrong. So every help is welcome
Best regards
