New install on Ubuntu 22.04 redirects to https with SSL disabled on install

Following the install instructions for Ubuntu 22.04 here: https://www.openproject.org/docs/installation-and-operations/installation/packaged/#ubuntu-2204

As well as the initial configuration steps here: https://www.openproject.org/docs/installation-and-operations/installation/packaged/#initial-configuration

I end up with an instance that redirects me to the https version when calling the IP assigned to the machine despite the fact that I selected "no" on the SSL part of the configuration.

This issue seems to have come up in the forum but only for the Docker install. It would be good to know how to fix this as well as maybe adjust the documentation/look into the version if this is a software issue.

The documentation for this project is just an absolute mess...
It reads that Step 7 is only shown if the apache install was skipped... yet it shows after choosing "install apache2".

I really want to like this project but at this point, I rather look for something properly maintained. Just sad.

Hi Sascha

let me answer your second post first, I know that if you do not have yet 30 years of Open Source experience you think that Documentation is always maintained, especially for mobile phones nowadays, it is easy they have ZERO documentation in the box :)

you are free to contribute and help to get the OpenProject documentation better, everyone is able to help here, also you.

Hi Sascha again, long time not see.

Now let me help you to search the forum for NON docker and HTTPS,

how about this from Yesterday? Did you find it already? Maybe it did not yet download to your internet provider before you posted and so you could not see it. Not all ISPs are fast :)
