Keep the forum clean

Added by Daniel Hug about 1 year ago

I just got a response for my thread https://community.openproject.org/topics/15267 which is obviously linkspam. ("Liana Wisoky")

Some suggestions to keep this forum clean:

  • All user-generated links get the "ugc" and possibly the "nofollow" tag.
  • User account has to reach a certain threshold (e.g. age) in order to post links.
  • Spam posts can be reported and removed.

Links from this forum do have some backlink value, at least while they are on the first page. Let's act before we get flooded.

Daniel

Most of the spam is created by gmail accounts. I am very much in favor in removing the Google login. Thus Google gets less information about the traffic on our website. I am currently working on the details together with Markus.
