question about the percentage?

Hi I was wondering if someone could shed some light on the issue im having,

Currently i create a phase and within that the child tasks, after clicking on closed the child tasks it does not appear the percentage  being filled on the parent which is the phase 

Not sure what i missed, already configured on the work package setting to grab the percentage though status

You can have a look at our documentation about progress tracking in the work package hierarchy which is based on estimated time: https://www.openproject.org/docs/user-guide/time-and-costs/progress-tracking/#progress-tracking-in-the-work-package-hierarchy

Thank you so much for the reply, 

i was reading the the link, in theory if the sub children in progress is a 30% (using the work package status) wouldn't the parent show a progress bar being filled?

There is a feature request about calculating the progress % based on WP-progress of child-WP: https://community.openproject.org/projects/openproject/work_packages/31306/activity
This feature is still on our wish list. I have left a vote for you.
