Hi All,
Just to update i notice that error 500 seems to crop up often around here. On my on installation whenever there is email to be sent out, it just throws out that error. For example, if you create or modify an account where there is an option to send message to users, it’ll just redirect you to error 500 page.
Also for any project update where users can be notified, if you check that option, then you’re sure to meet the error. I think this is a rampant bug. Pardon my ignorance but can other users confirm or verify this?

What does you production.log say? (If you are in production)
I had this - it was due to an incorrect password for the SMTP server - these are stored in “configuration.yml” to the best of my knowledge.
Once fixed, I haven’t had an error 500 since.

Alex’ advice sound reasonable. We’ve seen similar errors because of a bas SMTP config.
