[Solved] Issue with generated postgres dump file using migrate-from-pre-8.sh script

Added by Ming M over 3 years ago

Hi,

we are running the latest Openproject Version which supports mysql:
OpenProject 9.0.4 (Mysql2)

We are trying updating to the latest version with postgres.

There for we using this documentation: https://www.openproject.org/docs/installation-and-operations/misc/upgrading-older-openproject-versions/

However we running the script, at the end of the day we receive an sql file ("openproject-mysql-dump-8.sql") which we cannot import. The content of this file seems like a mysql dump. The header of this file is

-- MySQL dump 10.13  Distrib 5.6.51, for Linux (x86_64)
--
-- Host: localhost    Database: openproject
-- ------------------------------------------------------
-- Server version	5.6.51

--

DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `announcements`;
/*!40101 SET @saved_cs_client     = @@character_set_client */;
/*!40101 SET character_set_client = utf8 */;
CREATE TABLE `announcements` (
  `id` int(11) NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT,
  `text` text,
  `show_until` date DEFAULT NULL,
  `active` tinyint(1) DEFAULT '0',
  `created_at` datetime DEFAULT NULL,
  `updated_at` datetime DEFAULT NULL,
  PRIMARY KEY (`id`),
  KEY `index_announcements_on_show_until_and_active` (`show_until`,`active`)
) ENGINE=InnoDB DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1;
/*!40101 SET character_set_client = @saved_cs_client */;
....

Can somebody help us? We are working very long to make this upgrade happen.

Please let me know if you need more information to support us.

Thanks in advance for your support.

Best Regards

Ming

Hi,

i solved this issue by passing the correct parameter to the sql file instead just point to the directory.

If you don't passed the full path to the sql file, this scripts create a vanilla installation.
