installation help

Added by Ewald Fernbach over 3 years ago

I tried to install, remove and reinstall several times and am not able to get openproject to start. The apache2 configuration seems to be ok, the postgesql database is available but when I try to open the application in the browser using http://<servername> (the servername I entered in the openproject.conf file in etc/apache2/sites-enabled the browser line switches to https://<servername> and the message in the browser window says: unable to connect. Help for further diagnosis and possibly fix would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Ewald,

I'm new to OP, but I installed today as described https://www.openproject.org/docs/installation-and-operations/installation/packaged/#initial-configuration on Ubtuntu 20.4

The only effort I had with default SLL=no

Because today's web browsers dont like naked http. So I installed after OP SSL cert via https://certbot.eff.org/instructions to have https!
