OpenProject running on the same VPS with NextCloud?
Added by Piotr F over 3 years ago
Is it even possible?
Port 443 is already taken. Would it be possible to create another vhost?
I would love to run NextCloud integrated with Collabora (specifically with LibreOffice Online), all of this altogether on one VPS but don't want to start installing, being afraid I could ruin the current LAPP setting with OpenProject successfully (and eventually) running.
Cheers,
Piotr

Hi Piotr,
yes this is possible. OpenProject packaged installation runs an application server (port 3000 by default) and uses a proxy-reverse proxy pattern with Apache if you autoinstall it.
With NextCloud installed, you probably need to skip that autoinstall and provide a custom configuration for OpenProject. It is not recommended for users not used to Apache/Nginx configurations as it is a bit more complex to maintain.
We do have two exemplary configurations for both Apache2 and NGINX here:

Oliver, thank you so much!
A good starting point, to know it is feasible.
Best,
