Install OP on Windows Subsystem for Linux

Added by Alex D. over 4 years ago

Hello,

I'just tried to install and run OP on Windows with the integrated Subsystem for Linux. At the moment I use a Debian 10 installation. The OP packages have been installed and the apache webserver service is running and can be opened in the browser. I left everything on default setting.

  • New PostgreSQL
  • Hostname is computername
  • No path prefix
  • No SSL
  • Subversion repository support installed
  • svn-path: /var/db/openproject/svn
  • Git Support not installed
  • email not installed
  • memcached server installed

How do I now reach the openproject site? When opening localhost in an browser I still only see the apache default page.

Any hints available?

Thanks in advance

Alex

Hey Alex,

WSL is not supported for any server use, so this is probably a WSL issue.

I would try to use a VM instead.

Best of luck,

Marin
