Special chars replaced on file upload

Added by Denis Kurz over 5 years ago

Hi folks. We just migrated from Redmine to OpenProject. Now, whenever we upload a file, OpenProject replaces a range of special characters in the file name with underscores that would not have to be replaced. Both our database and the file system support, e.g., parantheses. We brought some files from Redmine with parantheses in their names. OpenProject displays them just fine, and downloading them works like a charm.

Is there any way to configure special characters not to be replaced with underscores?

Hey, unfortunately there is currently no way to disable this behaviour. I created a new work package for this: https://community.openproject.com/projects/openproject/work_packages/32140/activity
