CAS Support for OpenProject 10
Added by Kim Serradell about 5 years ago
Today I've upgraded our OpenProject to version 10. Everything went fine but my surprise went when CAS was no longer available and looking in to the logs it says:
"OmniAuth SSO strategy cas3 is only available for Enterprise Editions"
This was not announced in the release notes... And I can't revert it because I forgot to make a backup.
Can this change be reverted?
Thank you,
KiM

And users can not change password to login using the username/password form because they were created using CAS...
This user authenticates via an external authentication provider, so there is no password in OpenProject to be changed.
Hello, any news in this topic? Thank you.
Hi Kim,
when we developed the single sign on API two years ago we decided to make this a feature of the Enterprise Edition. However we never really enforced this technically. So you were able to use this feature in the Community Edition. In 10.0 we found this bug by chance and fixed it. This is why you can not use the single sign feature in the Community Edition after the upgrade.

Thanks for you reply, Niels.
The problem is that I can't use our OpenProject anymore. Passwords can't be changed so I don't know what can I do now. Also, this bug was not announced in 10.0 release notes...
I completely understand that I'm using Community Edition for free but it's hard for me to now have an unusable system...
