Access through the internet
Added by Barry Jenner about 6 years ago
I know that this subject has been discussed before and I have reviewed the answers multiple times without any sucess. I have now spent two days trying to get this to work and need to reach out.
A bit of background. I have recently joined a company that use on online Gantt charting service. One of my new duties is to prepare some plans for the company in complete secrecy, I cannot therefore use the company's existing project planning service and maintain secrecy, and so thought that I would use OpenProject, a product that I've used before. I'm not getting funding for a subscription at the moment so plan to provide OpenProject through my own cloud service, at least to get the ball rolling.
My Cloud service uses CentOS7 through Plesk. I have loaded OpenProject up and by using curl at the command line I have proved that OpenProject is up and running on 127.0.0.1 port 6000. When I configured the system I entered a FQDN that is set up on my server. I cannot get onto OpenProject through the internet though. If I enter the web address that I added I get the standard Plesk web page for the domain, if I add the port number I get the 'cannot reach this page' message.
I am no Linux expert but have used it for many years and normally get things working. This is just beating me though.
Please could someone help as I need to get something working here and don't want to end up with a stand alone Project package if OpenProject is available to me.
Thank you in advance.
