View Project Members internal error

Version: 8.1.0

MySQL: 8.0

OS: Ubuntu 16.04

When I try to load the members tab within a project to see who is assigned to the project, I get an internal error if any users are assigned.  The page loads fine with no users, but as soon as i add someone, I get the 500 error.  Here is a snippet from the log:
