OpenProject uses a robust design system with different color modes already in place. But these require manual switching, which is cumbersome. Further, OpenProject does not honor the users’ color preference, which in some cases could be related to accessible needs- E.g. detecting high-contrast settings.
This work attempts to make the theming choice more convenient for the user, only if they opt-in, and more importantly, meets the accessibility needs which are even more important.
