It is currently quite hard to @mention people in public projects. projects\. Since this is a quite common use case I would like to invest some time to polish UX here.
Especially in public projects with very many users this becomes obvious (see [ScreenRecording\_04-29-2025\_08-18-07\_1.mp4](https://community.openproject.org/attachments/504131/ScreenRecording_04-29-2025_08-18-07_1.mp4)).
Challenges:
1. There is no prioritization between "involved" persons and "all persons".
2. When opening the user select panel with clicking the @-button the focus is not inside of the search field.
