Unable to access Atom/RSS feeds - authorization always required

Added by Mauricio Čulibrk over 6 years ago

Hi there!

I'm not sure if this a bug or a "feature" or maybe some sort of my miss-configuration but none of Atom/RSS feeds can be accessed without actual authorization on the client side.

I tried various combinations but at the end to actuall access RSS feeds from OpenProject I always needed to enter authorization credentials at the client side (RSS reader) - and it's not easy to find such a client!

Almost all of RSS readers I checked simply does not have any way to enter authorization on a URL! Various option to enter the user/pass in the URL itself also did not work.

On the other side, I tried the same thing on one project created on openproject.com (free, test account) and there the RSS/Atom feed works as expected!

You just enter the URL shown on the OpenProject page in your RSS reader and - voila! - it works! No users, passwords...

Any hints/suggestions/instructions regarding this??

Regards,

M.Culibrk
