Inconsistent wiki page creation behavior using typed [[link]]
Added by Chris Chen about 6 years ago
Hello everyone,
I am not sure if this bug is reported previously. Therefore, I am reluctant to create a bug report separately.
The issue: under the latest docker image (Oct 6), the wiki page is behaving strangely when I click on a manually edited wiki entry.
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a wiki page titled "Slide Two" under a parent wiki page titled "Slide One"
- Edit the page to create a link for another wiki page by using double [ and double ], for example, Wiki Page Num Two should link to another wiki page named "Wiki Page Num Two", in case of not-yet-created page, the link should take you to a blank wiki creator page with the title updated to "Wiki Page Num Two".
- Click on the link of ''Wiki Page Num Two'' with the url in the format of www.domainname.com/projects/project_name/wiki/wiki-page-num-two?title=Wiki+Page+Num+Two
Actual Behavior
- One click behavior scenario is to return to the parent page titled "Slide One"
- Alternative click behavior is to enter the new generic wiki creation page with "Wiki" without executing the title query to update the title to "Wiki Page Num Two" as behaved in 7.4.7
Expected Behavior
- Enter a blank wiki creation page with the title updated to "Wiki Page Num Two"
Hope this helps. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Chris

Anyone else experiencing this?
We experience this error as well, using the OP 8.2 docker image.
It's quite annoying, the wiki is basically broken for us since the upgrade to OP8. Did you already file a bug report ?
Hi Varac and Chris,
thanks for the report. This got lost in the forum, so thanks to Varac for creating #30104 from it. It will be fixed for 9.0.0
Best,
Oliver
