How to create new project for non-admin users?
Added by Tamas Csabina over 10 years ago
Hello,
How do a non-admin users suppose to create a new project?
I’ve installed the Global Roles plugin.
Created a new Global Role, with CreateProject setting enabled.
Assigned this role to a particular user.
Still, when the user logs in, I don’t see the possibility to create (manage?) projects. Where is this located?
Thanks,
tamas

Hi Tamas,
go the the project overview page (in the top menu select Projects > View all projects). Next to the heading Projects there should be a plus button called New project.
Can you find it?
Kind regards,
Hagen
Hi Hagen,
Thanks for the supper-fast replies…
The Projects menu only visible, if there is at least 1 project exists in the system. I’ve just figured that out!
After I create a project as admin, the Project menu appears on the main page for all the users. And if I login as a user with Global Role, this user can create a new project indeed.
Do you think it is a bug, that the Project menu is not visible if there are no projects? I would say the menu should be there…
Tamas
Hi Tamas,
sorry, I needed some time to reproduce it myself. But to the point: I consider this a bug too. Would you mind writing a bug ticket for this issue? :-)
Thanks a lot!
Kind regards,
Hagen
