How connect OP per MySQL extern via Browser

Added by George Heep almost 7 years ago

Hi there,
I installed docker/openproject. I am able to connect with port 8080 from outside. For security reasons I installed a mysql connection.
I granted rights to users, database etc and there is access to openproject as a user.
But now I am a little bit in trouble:
1.) I am not shure to use port 3306 as this is used for an adress database. Do I have to change the port?
2.) Maybe it is a beginners fault, but I also could not figure out: How do access openproject in a browser from outside per mysql as described above.
3.) Or do I have to look for another solution to get a secure connection? Anyway the acces should be as simple as possible.
Thanks in advance
George (an older newbee)
