Where are the logs in a docker install?

Greetings,

Troubleshooting why I get “An error occurred while sending mail (execution expired)” when testing email from the System Setting page in the application.

Where are the relevant logs? None of them seem to be at the system level so I presume they are in the container structure but having a bad time figuring that out. thanks for any assistance.
