Work Package Status Stuck on "New"

Added by Michael David almost 7 years ago

Every Work Package anyone creates in our OpenProject, the Status is “New”….no user can change this, there are no other options that even appear in the pull-down. We have added users to projects, removed them, added them again, made them admins, made them members, same result.

I can’t resist noting the irony here of a task management system whose great weakness is that we can’t clear completed tasks. There must be some answer.

Hi Michael,

I assume your type has no workflow assigned to it, leaving it only with the default status. You can get around this by creating types while copying the workflow of another default type.

For more information on the workflow, please see:

Best,
Oliver
