Tasks dependecies on the same date

Added by Ed Straker almost 7 years ago

Hi…

I’ve not found something about it in this forum and in documentation and I’m here to ask an help.
My problem is about the fact I have two tasks and one requests 4 hour to be closed and other another 4 hours to be closed.
The second depends of the first one and totally, 4+4 hours are 8 hours, a single day.
If I connect the second one as successors of the first one, OpenProject shift the date of the second to the day after the first one, but it’s wrong, they must keep the same date.
How to do it? Is there a way to obtain it?
Thanks a lot

Hi Ed,

it is not possible to schedule 2 tasks which have a follows-precedes relationship on the same day. The minimum unit for scheduling are days. Therefore, a task which follows another task will always start at least one day later.
To schedule 2 tasks on the same day, you need to remove the follows-precedes relationship.
