New project does not inherit members from parent

I have a project tree imported from Redmine.

The existing projects inherit members from their parent.

However, when I create a new child project it does not inherit any members.

Did I miss a setting somewhere?

Any ideas?

This is by design. A child project will often have different members, this may or may not be a subset or the same as it’s parent.

If it inherits the same properties of another project, copying it is the correct solution.
