Activating Tasks on the Backlog

Added by elma Jenkins about 7 years ago

Dear Community,

sorry if this has already been posted somewhere else,

I have set up milestone versions and am now adding tasks.

the milestone versions show up in the Roadmap and the Backlog, which is perfect and would I would like, but for some reason the tasks I create only show up on the Roadmap? When I change the task to a Feature/Phase/Epic etc.. it shows up on both, but not as a Task. I know it is possible to show tasks on the backlog as I have seen it on a screen shot.

Please can you help
best
Elma

Dear Elma,

the Tasks are only shown in the Taskboard, not in the Backlog

The reason is that Tasks are used to break the “Stories” (e.g. Feature, Phase, Epic) into smaller parts. If you select a Sprint (shown on the left side in the Backlog), you can click on the arrow in the upper right and select “TaskBoard”. You will then be able to break the Stories into Tasks.

For more information feel free to take a look at the user guide
