News Emails

Added by Rob A about 7 years ago

Hi guys,

I’ve been using Openproject for a while now to keep track of mechanical type projects and I’m trying to roll it out to more people in our company. For the most part it’s a great system but what I’m stuck on right now is email notifications.

I want any new News items to be emailed to all project members (so I set the send mail on New News Item checkbox) but nothing happens unless the users email preferences are set to “For any events on projects”. This means that users get WAY too many emails and they just end up ignoring the News ones because they get lost in the shuffle.

Is there something I’m missing? Emails are working fine, it’s just the News thing I wanted to figure out.

Thanks,

Rob
