Workpackages cannot being updated

Added by Steffen Stolz over 8 years ago

Hi all,

I am running Openproject 6.0.4 on a debian 8.5

openproject@proj01:/opt/openproject/log$ cat /etc/debian_version
8.5

openproject@proj01:/opt/openproject/log$ dpkg -l | grep openproject
ii openproject 6.0.4-1473846456.d23fc45.jessie amd64 Official OpenProject Community Edition

After creating a workpackage I tried to update the appropriate workpackage(phase) but an error on top of the page will be displayed and I cannot apply changes:

“An internal error occured” —> please find attached picture

In addition, I checked the production.log but no entries concerning this error:

W, [2016-09-28T17:40:46.745775 #12495] WARN — : hook registered
W, [2016-09-28T17:41:00.803596 #12606] WARN — : [auth_saml] Missing settings from ‘/opt/openproject/config/plugins/auth_saml/settings.yml’, skipping omniauth registration.

W, [2016-09-29T01:15:08.164451 #12792] WARN — : hook registered

I also tried other types of workpackages (tasks, etc.). I also searched the web concerning this kind of error but without any success.

Any input or help is highly appreciated in order to use this great software. Hopefully, I just missed a setting or something else.

Thanks ans kind regards,

Steffen

I have opened Bug #24042 in order to get a response. Hopefully we will find a solution.

Thanks,
Steffen

Hi all,

after a last trial I found out that the error referred to an exception at squid 2.7stable9:

root@vm01:/var/log/squid# tail -f store.log | grep error
1489494219.723 RELEASE –1 FFFFFFFF 79AC194CC4F062912DAE1289F5DCD5A6 400 1489494219 –1 –1 text/html 3619/3619 NONE error:unsupported-request-method

After adjusting firewall settings and redirect traffic, OP works properly.

Best regards,
Steffen

Hi Steffen

I am dealing with the same issue for the past many days. Basically:
W, [2018-04-10T03:16:40.995790 #12254] WARN — : [auth_saml] Missing settings from ‘/opt/openproject/config/plugins/auth_saml/settings.yml’, skipping omniauth registration.

What firewall and routing adjustments did you do specifically? Help greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Adi

Hi Adi,

I have redirected traffic and excluded the OP server from proxy.

Best,
Steffen
