Support for multiple Project Managers

Added by Aqueel Mirza about 7 years ago

Hi
In our organization, we have multiple teams being managed by their own project managers. I want to configure OpenProject in such a way that each project manager will be able to view project only for which he is responsible or the project created by him. He should not be able to view projects of other project managers. How can I achieve this? Please note that I am using Community version of OpenProject.
Thanks

Hello, maybe I misunderstand your question, because what you’re asking for is the default setting:
If a users ( i.e. a team manager) creates a new project, that user will have the “manager” role for that project, but no access to any other projects unless you give them the permissions.
-> If you want a user to have access to other projects, the admin or the respective project manager of the other projects would have to explicitly add that user as a member of their project.

Thanks Sascha, this answers my questions. I now have the required understanding. Thanks once again.
