Organisation of Projects

Hi,
I have a general question how to manage our projects in best way with OpenProject.

We have a lot of smaller Projects which are shared in 2 development offices.
Now we need a timeline of all projects to see when, which project can start /end.
I tried to make a main project with subprojects but I can not create a timeline of the subprojects …

So how I can solve my problem in best way?
