From a technical perspective, the status acts as a state machine with a fixed set of states and transitions from each state (configured through Administration > Workflows).
If you have an additional semantic in the status, you can add a list custom field that contains the additional semantic in your second status. This can be filtered in the same fashion as status however will not be tied to any workflow.

I found a solution:
it is possible if in the System Settings, you choose
“Calculate the work package done ratio with - Use work package status”
In this manner the status is linked to a % (progress) that you can assign in the “work packages statuses”.
